Tbh, I don't hate anyone - sure, it's always nice when you beat the likes of United or Spurs, but I've kinda left behind hating teams. I used to hate United but that's because I've grown up in the heart of Manchester United country (that's South Manachester/Cheshire, not Surrey by the way!) and used to take all sorts of crap at school as an Arsenal fan. I blame my Dad, who was going to Highbury from the 40s and brought me up on it. Still, I suppose it was character building!

As far as love for country is concerned...not me. I'd be inclined to love it more if it stopped raining, mind!

RowanTPIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08267151875715791707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-72754640586953335152012-06-23T14:26:50.390-07:002012-06-23T14:26:50.390-07:00Hey Fabian,

No offence taken at all.

Seems like we're on the same wavelength. :)

RowanTPIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08267151875715791707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-36824336695374929152012-06-23T14:19:54.637-07:002012-06-23T14:19:54.637-07:00i hate man utd with a passion but if it means engl...i hate man utd with a passion but if it means england { the country i love queen and all} win this torney then i will bow to them for the day
jtAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-14615087065782190512012-06-23T03:08:08.153-07:002012-06-23T03:08:08.153-07:00:)at least if Spain and England will do it for fin...:)at least if Spain and England will do it for final you may still make an insurence bet ,so at least you will sleep happy with both results.Rowan what happened to " Matt On form "?.fabianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11499412262747373186noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-24693226676368518082012-06-23T00:50:26.403-07:002012-06-23T00:50:26.403-07:00Interesting comments re club v country - I am exac...Interesting comments re club v country - I am exactly the same, except that I come from a Blue part of London and am extremely happy! Entirely agree about 3 points in the first game of the season being preferable to an England Euro win - just imagine how infinitely more enjoyable a Champions League Final win is! (not meant nastily, however it may sound to a Gooner).

I have often wondered how widespread this feeling actually is - generally it is not something you shout about at times like this. Keep up the blog - always good reading.

TonyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-5883994786277206392012-06-23T00:28:28.703-07:002012-06-23T00:28:28.703-07:00Well, yes, there is that way of looking at it too....Well, yes, there is that way of looking at it too.

Canada, eh? What's it like living in a country with clean air, knowing that winters will be cold but summers hot, and divorced from the economic crisis us Europeans are trying to cope with? Lucky so and so! :)

RowanTPIhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08267151875715791707noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-819270169763743770.post-73234233832841768172012-06-22T21:56:26.687-07:002012-06-22T21:56:26.687-07:00"Why I can get so emotionally attached to the..."Why I can get so emotionally attached to the England cricket and rugby teams and not to the football team, I have no real idea."

Perhaps its because there are so many unlikable players on the football team?

I would hate to root for a team that features Rooney, Cashley Cole and that super wanker John Terry. Love the blog, greetings from Canada.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
